(More customer reviews)I bought this pot specifically for making chicken stock, and it did the job perfectly. The contents heated up quickly and evenly on my glass top stove. I was able to bring a full pot to a boil within a few minutes. With my old 4 quart RevereWare pot, it would take 15-20 minutes to bring water to a boil. This MIU pot obviously has good heat retention and distribution. The bottom is thick and heavy and the entire pot has a good solid feel to it. The lid fits properly, and there were no problems with sputtering or dripping from the lid. The glass is a nice bonus. You can check on your food without having to the lift the lid and lose heat. I have not used the steamer basket or pasta insert. Both fit well, though. The pasta cooker, when inserted, sits about 1 inch from the bottom of the pot, but I cannot comment on its performance. The steamer basket has a handle for lifting that's hard to see in the photo. It's unlikely that I'll use the pasta cooker or steamer basket any time soon, but if I do, I'll update this review.

This 10 quart Stainless steel pasta cooker from MIU FRANCE can be used for a variety of cooking uses in the kitchen. It is a great pasta cooker and it is also a great steamer.The pan comes with two steamer inserts.It features 18/10 stainless steel construction with heavy duty handles riveted to eash side of the pan.The lid is glass with a riveted handle.The larger of the two inserts also has riveted handles on each side.The tri-ply bottom is designed for even heat distribution and is made from three layers of metal.The oustide layers are stainless steel with the inside layer being aluminum.The layers of metal are impact bonded to the bottom of the cooker.It is safe to be cleaner in the dishwasher.
