We used our 16qt steamer last night for the first time to make tamales. We loved it! The steamer we had previously was only 8 qts, and didnt have a very deep insert, so you coudn't cook very many tamales at one time. This product has a deep insert which is perfect for making tamales.

Sure to be a treasured piece when gathering with friends and family, this covered pot holds up to 16 quarts of water for boiling and comes with a removable disc-shaped steamer insert for steaming food. Measuring 13-4/5 by 10-2/5 by 11-3/5 inches, the extra-large steamer can be used for cooking up clams, corn on the cob, crabs, crawfish, lobster, and other favorites over a campfire at the beach or at home on a standard electric or gas stove for festive cooking any time of year.
In addition to its heavy-duty carbon-steel construction for fast, even heating, the pot features a PFOA-free, non-porous, porcelain-enamel coating that resists staining and that won't burn, won't trap odors or food particles, and won't react with foods, which means authentic, unaltered flavors and delicious results. The cookware also provides side loop handles for safe transport, while its secure-fitting lid with a loop handle helps trap heat, moisture, and nutrients. Made in the USA, the cookware cleans up easily by hand with hot soapy water.
