(More customer reviews)As far as expandable steamers go, this one is the best, as far as I'm concerned. The 3 folding legs are rounded, so you can use this steamer in a non-stick coated pot, without worrying about scratching it. The center post handle screws off, if it gets in the way when steaming certain foods, like fish. I also like how you can put a fork through the top portion of the handle (as the instructions suggest), in order to lift it out of a pot, without burning any fingers in the process. Although it's a little bit more work cleaning it, as opposed to a silicone steamer (that doesn't expand), I usually use it for vegetables, and use a silicone steamer for fish (easier to clean). If you're really into steaming your foods, get this one and a silicone.

The highly functional pop-up steamer offers a variety of features that make it easy to cook a variety of foods. A simple press on the handle pops the steamer up for added length, making it easy and safe to insert and remove. Freshly steamed vegetables are a snap. Press the handle again to lock it down for compact storage. For extra reach, a fork can be inserted into the handle. Folding feet make it easy to store the steamer and easy to elevate it by 1-3/4 inches, leaving room enough underneath for water. Simply unscrew the handle when the entire basket is needed for steaming larger items like fish fillets. The steamer is made to fit pots 8 inches in diameter and up.
