Don't mess with tradition...this is the same crab pot I grew up with! Simple, and practical...we use it outside on the side burner of the grill to get a good rolling boil for steam that you don't get with the new electric stove tops. The PERFECT steamer for blue crabs in the Chesapeake Bay tradition! Hint: add 2 cups of water, 2 cups of vinegar & 2 beers to the base, and bring to a boil...load live crabs in top, layering with "Old Bay" and steam til they turn red (10 min?). ENJOY them while they are HOT!

Sure to be a treasured piece when gathering with friends and family, this three-piece steamer set supplies a lower pot that contains water for boiling, a steamer pot for steaming food, and a lid. Measuring 16-1/5 by 8-3/4 by 14-1/4 inches, the extra-large steamer provides a wide base for stability and a generous 19-quart capacity. Use it for cooking up clams, corn on the cob, crabs, crawfish, lobster, and other favorites over a campfire at the beach or at home on a standard electric or gas stove for festive cooking any time of year.
In addition to its heavy-duty carbon-steel construction for fast, even heating, the pot features a PFOA-free, non-porous, porcelain-enamel coating that resists staining and that won't burn, won't trap odors or food particles, and won't react with foods, which means authentic, unaltered flavors and delicious results. The cookware provides side loop handles on both the base and the upper steamer body, while its secure-fitting lid with a loop handle helps trap heat, moisture, and nutrients. Made in the USA, the cookware cleans up easily by hand with hot soapy water.
