- Cooking times are accurate. If a recipe specifies 8 hours to cook a pot roast, that's how long it will take. I've never owned a slo-cooker that came close to this degree of accuracy, and I've owned many over the years!
- Ridiculously easy to clean (non-stick).
- The removeable cooking pot is very light-weight, and can be used in the oven, on the stove, or in the refrigerator, hence the term "versatility".
- 6 quart capacity and oval design accomodates most recipes and cuts of meat...it is ideal for me.
- I've cooked 15-20 meals of all types with this cooker and have NEVER had a problem with the results.
Why I could not give this product 5 stars:
- It does not have an on/off indicator (light), nor does it have an "off" setting - once you plug it in, it goes into a "warm" mode, even though the heat switch is turned all the way to the left.
- Speaking of switches, the one on this model appears (to me) to be a bit flimsy with no positive feedback as to whether it is on high or low or somewhere in between. No big deal, and for all I know it might last through a nuclear war, but if it ever breaks, the appliance will probably be rendered useless.
All in all, based on ease of cleaning, light-weight design, and of course consistency of results, this is the best slo-cooker I've ever owned and would, despite its price, strongly recommend this appliance to any and all interested in purchasing a slo-cooker.

(More customer reviews)Purchased this rice cooker for my wife. We are both enjoying it a lot. The parts are solid and simply feel like high quality. There are two bowls. The rice cooking bowl has a better non-stick coating on it. The other bowl for non-rice cooking is easy enough to clean, but might take a little soaking for those challenging situations.
Selection is easy to understand. The slow-cook options are partially what sold me on this unit. You can cook so many things in this cooker, because you can manually cook instead of always having to follow a programmed option.
Rice can be kept warm up to 12 hours. It has a great sealing system, so it does stay fresh.
The unit looks very nice on the counter. The battery runs the clock, unless you keep the unit plugged into the outlet. The battery is suppose to run for 4 years or so.
Quality of rice cooked -- The rice has been PERFECT every time we have cooked rice. We are using a Jasmine rice bought from a local asian market. We simply wash the rice twice, put in the required amount of water, and set it to cook. So far it has been perfect each time.
I ended up buying this over the Zojirushi based on price and couldn't be happier. I saved maybe a $100 and am 100% happy with the product. We've been using this for 3 weeks now.
Cleaning is easy and fast. The removable lid/seal is great and easy to clean. It is not possible to latch the cover if the removable cover is not in place -- a nice feature and great engineering.
The steam collector works well. Be careful not to put your hand close to the exit hole as steam is not fully condensed coming out and could burn you. This is not really a safety concern for me and my wife. Cleaning the collector is not a problem so far. Simply remove and shake out the water. Any water dripping down is caught in a silicon seal. You can easily take a towl and soak up the very small amount of water that might drip out. It is only water and doesn't mess anything up.
I would buy this over again based on my experience so far. Can't speak about reliability yet. I can only hope Sanyo brand will be good. I don't usually buy their products.

Now that they're in college, we use it for televised college and NFL games as well as the Super Bowl. It is big enough to cook a huge serving of meatballs or hotdogs. (More customer reviews)I purchased my Aroma rice cooker at Target as I love rice. I originally bid on a much more expensive one on ebay but was outbid even at $120. Anyhow, I was at Target, saw this one and thought...what the heck. I followed directions to make 4 cups of brown rice. I hit the brown rice button and that was it. One hour and 45 minutes later I ate what I consider to be the best brown rice I have ever had. It didn't stick together as you get at fine restaurants, and it was fluffy. I loved it! The best feature (I think) about this machine is that when your rice is cooked, it automatically switches over to keep warm setting. Therefore, you can never overcook it. If you undercook it it's only because you didn't allow it to cook for the time the instructions tell you to. I am now so glad that I purchased this one. I paid $35 for it versus the $120 I would have paid for the Zojirushi 3 cup rice cooker.

(More customer reviews)This cooktop is a great way to try induction cooking. It is very fast. The heat control is precise and responsive like gas; maybe better. The pan is a nice bonus. Warning, it may not work with all of your pans, especially if they are all aluminum or copper-clad stainless.
It's portable and lightweight. It will be excellent for home canning. It will also provide an additional side burner for holiday meals.
The fan makes a little noise, like a small microwave. Some pans make a slight whirring sound as current is induced through them. I think this is cool but some may find the sound disconcerting. Both of these attributes are typical of these units.

(More customer reviews)Being late to the crock pot party, I finally bought one. This model, the SCCPTM600S (manual), is almost identical to its sister, the SCCPTP600P (programmable). I chose this one because the manual operation appealed to me. But the term "manual" is too utilitarian for this Crock Pot, which is simply elegant in design. The power knob has a nice clunky, substantial, feel when you turn it from the OFF position to either LOW, HIGH or WARM. When you turn it on, the digital counter automatically starts, so with a glance you always know how many hours and minutes the crock has been cooking. From the photo, because the crock is black, the lid looks black, but that is just a reflection; the lid is see-through glass so you can watch what's going on inside. The base in heavy and doesn't slide around, and the crock is easily lifted-out to serve or clean. Also nice is the retractable cord, which you can leave plugged-in since the Crock Pot has an OFF switch. This is a very beautiful device, engineered well. Along with the SCCPTM600S, I bought "Slow & Easy: Fast-Fix Recipes for Your Electric Slow Cooker" by Natalie Haughton, which I am also pleased with. Now I am taking life slow and easy with my new Crock Pot!

(More customer reviews)This triple cooker buffet was purchased for me on Amazon for a Christmas present was instantly wrapped when it arrived. It was supposed to be a NEW item but what we received was a REFURBISHED unit that was scratched & warped on one side which looks like it was melted and most likely why it was sent back. Unit is also missing 4 of the 8 feet so it wouldn't even sit remotely level. I didn't even try to use it for that reason. Unit itself is cheap plastic with thin aluminum holes for the pots to go in. Without the pots it weighs about 2 lbs. Each pot has a spoon slot that would be nice if it were just a server but is useless as a crock pot as all heat will escape from the holes. There is no way to close it for cooking meaning your food will take twice as long to cook. Save yourself a time consuming money wasting headache and pay the less than $20 more and get the REAL Crock Pot triple cooker which is what I plan to do once I get this unit sent back.
